Welcome to another photoshop tutorial, provided by me, italia, at jollyrancherr. Today I'll be showing you how to make a PSD. Some people call it a PNG which is (in opinion) incorrect because what you'd rather have is a photoshop PSD file where as a PNG file can be an any image file.
Step 1: Open up photoshop and the image I provided you with or, your image, and select your pen tool and set it to paths.
Step 2: Zoom in to about 400% and start clicking around the area that you want to keep and cut out. I started off near the leg. It's good to start off with one side and then end with an other so things don't get messy. And if you mess up, you can always press the Ctrl + Z to undo.
Step 3: Click around until you've gotten around the entire body. Don't worry too much about stray hair. You can choose to keep some or just cut them out to make it a whole lot easier. You can always go back and get the parts you've missed.
Step 6: Click on the eye on the sides of the background layer and on layer one to make those layers invisible. And there you have it! You've made your first PSD or 'PNG'. What do you think?
