Today I'll be showing you how to make a simple blended image, using photoshop cs4. I'll be using the two images you see up there, which i got from http://selenadaily.org/photos/.
Step 1: The first thing you want to do is open up photoshop and create a new image (Ctrl+N) set the height and width to 800px and then click 'okay'.
Step 2: The next thing to do is paste both images right next to each other (somewhat over lapping each other) on to the new image you had just created. Of course they're much smaller than the 800 by 800 image, which is a good thing because it gives you flexablity when it comes to croping and/or removing certain parts of the image.
Step 3: Next you want to select your Rectangular Marquee tool or just press M and Feather it at 20px (located top left). Select the top layer image and then select an area where you want the images to blend.
Step 4: You then press the delete button on your keyboard two or three times, and then press Ctrl+D to deselect. That area should disappear and then your two images will be blended together. Now, you can move them closer together with the move tool or leave them at their distance. Add some effects, color, font, and crop and then your done.
